Love: Hate: Hope Ramsgate

Ramsgate Arts Festival committee ran an event to gauge local interest and opinions of Ramsgate as a precursor to a larger arts festival to be held in 2010. We were asked to come up with an identity and promotional material for this. A short film of locals’ views of what they love, hate or hope for Ramsgate was to kick start the event. Flyers were then produced inviting people to be interviewed and filmed, and posters were put around the local area inviting everyone to come and view the film and express their feelings.

The film ran on a loop through a wall-mounted projector disguised as a giant TV screen, and cards were provided for people to have their say. These cards were pinned onto either a ‘love’ ‘hate’ or ‘hope’ board.

The event attracted BBC South East Today. Click to see the report.
